Start with the AliExpress order page. Look for the refund status and the date it was marked as completed or processed. If AliExpress still shows the refund as pending, the money has probably not been released yet, so the delay is on the platform side rather than your bank’s.
Then check your card or bank statement for the same amount. Look for:
- the exact refund amount
- the date AliExpress says it was sent
- any pending or reversed card entry, not only a final posted credit
If AliExpress shows the refund as completed but nothing appears in your account yet, the remaining delay depends on your bank or card issuer. In many cases it shows up within a few business days after the platform releases it, but some issuers take longer, especially around weekends and bank holidays.
If you still do not see the money, contact the right place based on where the delay seems to be:
- If AliExpress still shows pending, ask AliExpress support or the seller to confirm the refund status and the date it was issued.
- If AliExpress shows completed, contact your bank or card issuer and ask them to trace the incoming refund using the order number, refund date, amount, and the last 4 digits of the card.
When you contact support, ask one clear question: “Has the refund been released, and if so, has my bank received it but not posted it yet?” That saves time and helps them check the right step.
If you paid through a payment service rather than directly with a card, check that payment account first. The refund may appear there before it reaches your bank account, depending on how you paid.
The one detail that matters most is whether AliExpress marks the refund as completed or still pending. That status tells you whether to wait for your bank or to chase the refund with the platform.
